Barack Obama used to be seen by many as a shoo-in for re-election. Now he is increasingly looking like a shoo-out.
The polls show him losing edge at several levels to Mitt Romney, a silver-spoon elitist devoid of personality or convincing argument on the stump.
Obama is perceived by a large segment of the public as a can’t-do president when can-do is needed in a time of economic distress, foreign miscues and bipartisan hectoring. Romney, having honchoed a business and a state with arguable degrees of success, fits in the couldn’t-do-worse, might-even-do-better notch on the candidate comparison charts....
