Central Illinois’ Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, which provides planning services to the state’s Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties, is accepting proposals from firms that can develop and implement a marketing campaign to raise public awareness of regional and statewide efforts to obtain an accurate count for the 2020 census.
Peoria-based TCRPC seeks a consultant that can develop the second phase of its North Central Illinois 2020 Census Media Marketing Campaign, which provides targeted outreach and encourage census completion among communities with a historically low response, in an effort to ensure a fair, complete and accurate 2020 Census count.
Scope of services includes supporting the design of a media marketing campaign as well as the development of key messages; recommendations for an overall strategic communications approach; developing strategies to deliver focused messages to undercounted groups; creation of a media marketing campaign, including elements for earned, paid and social media; and use of community partners to deliver messages to stakeholders/clients.
TCRPC has allocated $175,000 for the work, which includes media buying.
Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. (CST) Friday, June 19, and should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line: “North Central Illinois 2020 Census Phase II Marketing Campaign.”
