The Village of Mundelein, Illinois is requesting proposals from marketing, public relations and communications agencies that can launch a multi‐platform marketing campaign in an effort to leverage Mundelein’s business community.

The Chicago suburb, which sits in Lake County about thirty-five miles northwest of Chicago, wants to launch a comprehensive and coordinated “shop local” initiative to remind residents about the importance of choosing local, independently‐owned businesses first, in an effort to support the local business economy and expedite the Village’s economic recovery from the affects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Scope of the work includes: developing a marketing and communication plan; creating a campaign theme/tagline; creative messaging and content development; developing strategies for partnerships with local business owners; creating marketing collateral (posters/signage, social media posts, email campaign, print and radio advertising, press releases, kick‐off events); website development; conducting a YouTube video campaign; preparing social media posts; attending public meetings as well as virtual and in‐person meetings with staff.

Proposals are due by 5 p.m. (CST) on July 20 and should be mailed or hand-delivered to:
