Derris promotes Lisa Frank, who founded the brand consultancy along with Jesse Derris in 2013, to CEO. Jesse Derris will transition from the CEO spot to a chairman role, in addition to serving as chief strategy officer at Orchestra, Derris' parent company. As CEO, Frank is responsible for leading the agency’s new line of businesses (creative, content, experiential, influencer marketing) and its international growth strategy. The agency has helped to launch and scale over 25 brands (Warby Parker, Everlane, SKIMS, rhode, Glossier). It has also maintained 71 percent employee retention, with many team members who started in entry level roles now part of the senior leadership team.

PAN Communications brings on Bristol Whitcher Rice, Nik Barkley and Chris Nardone as VPs. Rice will serve as VP and head of PAN's New York region. She joins the agency from Inkhouse, where she was most recently a VP. Before that, Rice worked at Cone and BIGfish Communications. At PAN, she is focused on strategic communications services, including corporate communications, crisis management and executive thought leadership. Barkley, who was previously VP and creative director at Matter Communications is now PAN's VP, brand marketing and experience design. His role centers around helping brands discover and tell their stories to the market in the most impactful ways possible. Nardone, who previously worked at Aisle Rocket and Digitas North America, is VP, integrated marketing and head of PAN's South by Midwest region, responsible for developing, maintaining and growing client business

Pace University hires Zachariah Hosseini as CMO and VP for university relations. Hosseini comes to Pace from Johnson & Johnson, where he led communications for its global life sciences incubator JLABS, and its venture capital arm, JJDC. Before that, he was associate vice chancellor for communications and marketing at Rutgers University and held communications roles at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. At Pace, Hosseini will oversee the marketing, communications and government affairs teams for the University and its campuses in New York City, Pleasantville and White Plains. “Zach’s accomplished career in communications and marketing will be a significant asset to Pace,” said Pace president Marvin Krislov. “His experience, background, and leadership will play an important role in helping to further communicate the University’s message of Opportunitas, or creating opportunities for students, to a global audience.”
